Yankee Hill Machine rates it from .17 HMR through 9mm on the pistol side and 5.56, .300 BLK, 350 Legend, 6.5 Grendel, and .308 Win on the rifle side. The YHM R9 is a 9mm suppressor built primarily for subguns and SBRs, but it is also rated for .300 BLK, 5.56 NATO, 6.5 Grendel, .350 Legend, and .308 Win. Observe the minimum barrel lengths: 7.5 in. for .300 BLK and 16 in. for 5.56 NATO, 6.5 Grendel, .350 Legend, and .308/7.62x51.

Do I need a booster to run it on a pistol?

Yes, for tilting-barrel pistols like a Glock or M&P. The R9 ships with a 1/2x28 direct thread mount, which works on fixed-barrel hosts like PCCs and subguns. To run it reliably on a handgun, add the YHM Nielsen Booster Assembly and a YHM Nielsen Piston that matches your barrel threads. The booster and piston are sold separately.

What mounts does the HUB rear accept?

The R9 uses industry-standard HUB 1.375x24 rear threads and ships with a 1/2x28 direct thread mount. It also works with YHM's Phantom QD adapter, the YHM 3-Lug and HD 3-Lug mounts, the Nielsen Booster Assembly for pistols, and other HUB-compatible direct thread and QD mounts.

Is it full-auto rated?

The R9 carries a limited full-auto rating. It can handle short bursts of automatic fire, but YHM recommends limiting strings to about one 30-round magazine before letting the suppressor cool. For sustained belt-fed or heavy full-auto use, choose a suppressor with an unrestricted full-auto rating.
